Robert Pattinson’s weekend jaunt to New York has exploded in a new report that he got extremely cozy with a fetching blond while hanging out at the same club where Lindsay Lohan had a blow out fight with her mother last night.
The latest confirmed sighting of Pattinson, 26, shows him in grainy photographs enthralled with an unknown blond woman. He’ seen sitting with his arm around her, at time as the two talked animatedly together oblivious to those around them.
The sighting has tilted the rumor mill in favor of reports that he and Kristen Stewart may not be on the road to reconciliation as many tabloids have reported citing a bevy of unnamed “sources.”
Pattinson jetted to New York from Los Angeles Friday (Oct. 5) to attend an IFC Films dinner in support of a fellow actor. The “Twilight” hunk was spotted out and about numerous times throughout the weekend at various local night spots.
His encounter with the blonde woman took place at the Electric Room Bar, inside Manhattan’s fashionable Dream Hotel, which is gaining a reputation for celebrity sightings. Rob apparently was unconcerned who saw him because the place is frequented by paparazzi.
“He had his arm slung around her at one point and they chatted for most of the night,” according to an eye-witness. “They looked like they were having a great time and the girl was making him laugh a lot.”
That’s something Kristen has been able to do much since news broke in July that she was having an affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders. Rob walked out on his girlfriend of four years, and the two haven’t been seen together in public since.
Recent tabloid reports claim the two have reconciled and may even be living together again. But Rob traveled to New York without her.
He reportedly arrived at the club with friends at about 1.30am and stayed for a couple of hours.
“There was about five of them but it looked like Robert only had eyes for the girl,” said the source.
“They sat really close to each other on the couch.”
In a new report in the November issue of Marie Claire UK, Kristen was reported to be infatuated with another older man, Balenciaga Fashion Director Nicolas Ghesquière. Like Sanders, he is 19 years older than her.
“They finish each other’s sentences, they have in-jokes and the giggle like a pair of carefree lovers,” the magazine reported.
“You meet someone and you recognize them. You fu*king recognize them,” she said of the Frenchman. Stewart reps for the brand’s fragrance.

The Cosmopolis hunk "had his arm slung around her at one point and they chatted for most of the night," a source told the Daily Mail Online. "They looked like they were having a great time and the girl was making him laugh a lot."
Sources said the actor was in a group with about five others, "But it looked like Robert only had eyes for the girl … they sat really close to each other on the couch."
The insider added the A-list Englishman was drinking "beers all night and there was champagne" on the table as well, leaving the actor looking "really happy and relaxed, like he didn’t have a care in the world."
Recent rumblings place the Remember Me star, 26, back with his longtime love Kristen Stewart, as the wounds in his heart have presumably healed since she embarrassed him by publicly cheating with her married director in Snow White And The Huntsman, Rupert Sanders.
Stewart over the weekend was spotted 3,000 miles away, taking in a Florence and the Machine show at the Hollywood Bowl with her dad.

Close proximity to an attractive woman? I doubt his super-professional and super-real relationship counselor recommended that. Perhaps he’s allowed to be near an ugly woman or an attractive man, but certainly not in close proximity to an attractive young woman. That seems very counter-productive to rekindling the faux-mance magic with K.Stew.
This whole back-together-but-are-they-back-together-ship just got so much more complicated and more suspenseful. It’s like the series finale of The Secret World of Alex Mack, but worse, because Kristen Stewart doesn’t possess the ability to transform into green slime when she wants to disappear. She just glowers menacingly at the camera – oh if only a truck full of radioactive material had exposed her to body-melting substances, she’d be so much better off now.
